ReportBuilder™ Server
The ReportBuilder™ Server provides
a means of managing the data points and databases of interest.
All ReportBuilder™ Client data points are configured
and maintained through the ReportBuilder™ Server
and are available to be reported on.
With ReportBuilder™ Server you can:
- Add or modify database connections
- Add or modify Tag Groups
- Add or modify database tables
- Add or modify Tag Attributes like description
and engineering units.
If your database changes location, table
or column names, ReportBuilder™ Server provides a single-point
entry data definition that is propagated to all ReportBuilder™
Clients over the network. And, if you add another database
to your enterprise, ReportBuilder™ will grow with you;
simply add another data provider and the points you want
to report on. These points will automatically be available
to be reported on the next time you open an Excel workbook.
