Time Zone and Daylight Savings and Partitioned Data Tables

Don’t know what time it is?  Do you care to know about partitioned data tables?  No worries!  The Ignition MySQL FunctionPack handles the time conversion for local time to epoch time.  And don’t worry about which historical table to report from either.  The Ignition MySQL FunctionPack will determine which Ignition data partition table to query the data from based on the reporting time you’re requesting. Ignition Reporting with ReportBuilder takes care of the details so you are more focused on building your report.

Gaps in Data

Gaps in data logging are always problematic when building reports.   Hopefully your gaps in data are few and far between–but everybody does experience some downtime once in a while and these gaps in data can prove problematic with reports.  The evenly spaced data functions included in the Ignition MySQL FunctionPack take into account gaps in data.  These are perfect for charting data or listing daily totals or stats for the hour, day, or month.
