Application Developer - Sacramento, CA
We currently have an opening in our main office located in Sacramento, California for an Application Developer. We are looking for someone who is dependable, trustworthy, hardworking and able to manage projects.
In this position, you will have many opportunities to use your computer, programming, Excel, SQL and database skills on a daily basis. This position interfaces directly with our customers to provide custom reporting, database, and other technical solutions. You will utilize our custom reporting tools when building reports as well as other off-the-shelf products. Some overnight travel may be required but is rare. You will also have the opportunity to learn other products and skills.
The ideal candidate for this position will have a willingness to learn and a good understanding of Microsoft products including: Windows Operating Systems, Microsoft Office Professional with an emphasis on Excel and Access; and Microsoft SQL Server. Experience with writing SQL queries and stored procedures, VBA scripts, Visual Basic, and Visual Studio .NET applications are a huge plus. Prior experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems is also very beneficial. A four-year degree in Computer Science or related field is highly desired, but not required. Excellent written and oral communication skills are a must as well as excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills. You must be customer service driven and able to sell yourself, and company products and services in a professional manner.
